Why do you need insurance?

Working, travelling or relaxing, whatever you do, wherever you are in the world, private medical insurance can no longer be viewed as a luxury, it is now an absolute necessity.

Away from your home country, the last thing you will want to do is take a chance on healthcare cover. If we value our health, it must make sense for us to take care of it. Falling ill overseas can be a crippling experience, mentally, physically and financially as many case histories will show. So, why risk it?

Hardly a week goes by without us being told about some medical breakthrough, a new medicine, a new treatment or new technology, all resulting from some dedicated individuals, hospital, clinic or medical-research unit. Yet, in many parts of the world we see little evidence of medical progress having been made. It is surprising the number of countries where medical treatment, even of a reasonable standard, is just not available. Where this is the case, more often than not, the costs prove to be particularly expensive.
